Activating a TV Server

If your TV Server is upgraded, or has an internal component replaced, you may find that it requires reactivating. This is normal behaviour for the unit in such circumstances, as its activation status is linked to the exact hardware configuration.

Reactivating your TV Server is a two stage process, as outlined below:

Obtaining an Activation Request Key

1. Connect to the server's console interface by reading this article.
2. At the main menu, choose Configuration (2), then Activation (3)
3. Select Create Activation Request Key (2) and copy the key generated.
4. Provide the key to your helpdesk agent. You can also email keys to licensing@encodedmedia.com.

Once you have received your activation key, you can move on to the next stage of the process.

Activating the Server

1. Connect to the server's console interface.
2. At the main menu, choose Configuration (2), then Activation (3)
3. Select Activate Server (3) and paste your key into the Activation Key field at the top.
4. Restart the server if prompted to do so.
