Encoded Media appliance streams can be delivered via RTSP unicast, UDP multicast or directed UDP unicast streams. You can test these streams in third party products such as the desktop and mobile app versions of VLC media player.

MPEG transport stream (MPEG-TS) is raw UDP. Packet size is 1,316 bytes (1,358 bytes including UDP and IP headers). TTL is settable, with the system default being either 15 (platform 3 and later) or 5 (platform 2 and earlier).
